Inspired by their childhood beach community on Fire Island, siblings Caroline and Jake Danehy founded Fair Harbor to protect global waterways and preserve shorelines for future generations. True to the brand’s environmentally driven mission, Fair Harbor makes its apparel from recycled plastic bottles and other eco-friendly fabrics. Since its launch, the purpose-driven label has transformed more than 27 million recycled plastic water bottles into stylish and well-made beachwear. Fair Harbor innovated the men’s swimwear space by inventing BreezeKnit fabric, an interior liner for their shorts, to solve the chafing caused by traditional mesh.
Recently, the B Corp company has expanded its offering to include men’s golf, women’s, kids’, and cold-weather apparel as part of its evolution into a full lifestyle brand for the entire family. Fair Harbor is sold online, in Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and more than 250 specialty retailers around the country.
